Rugby Recruiting

Hey, so this is my first post. I just started playing rugby, so I know this is SUPER early, but I just wanted to know if there was any chance whatsoever if I could get recruited for colleges for it? I'm quickly improving, and I have a friend last year who played for 4 months and got recruited to play for Harvard. I just don't know if I can start the recruitment process or if I'm getting a little bit too cocky with it. I love the sport, and I honestly think there might be a chance for me, but I just don't know. There aren't many women's college rugby teams, and idk if my grades are good enough since I had a kind of rough sophomore year, so I just need someone to slap some sense into me.

There is still time to get your grades back up but you have to really want it and push yourself. I wouldn’t start looking for recruiters right away for now you should start focusing on your highlight reel. Your highlight reel will be the crucial element to you getting recruited so spend lots of time on it. Later in the year you should start messaging coaches and sharing your reel. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket focus on your academics. If you’re going to school for a sport it is perfectly acceptable to not commit until your senior year so don’t worry about it too much. Be realistic since you are new don’t shoot for a D1 right away look into D3 schools to start. Hope this helps :)
