Paying for College

Will colleges send a detailed price once a student is admitted? Or do we need to request that?

My kid has been admitted into several colleges but hasn't received firm prices for freshman year. Will they eventually send detailed price breakdowns for tuition, fees and room and board? And firm scholarship offers?

From my understanding they only thing they give you a bit later is your financial aid package which would include scholarships.

Schools update their cost of attendance yearly so after they post that I believe it will be up to you to see what is a smarter decision financially. Cost varies by student depending on where they end up living, their classes and textbooks, parking passes if you need one, and meal plans. This is only information you would get after you after you accept and begin registering.
