Paying for College

What is the best way to pay for college with scholarships?
Answered

I need to pay for school on my own and am worried about student loans. I will go to school part-time if I absolutely have to but I want to pay for as much as possible with scholarships. Is it better to go after a large number of small scholarships or focus on a few large ones? Any advice/ideas appreciated.

Great question! I would suggest that you apply for a couple of large scholarships but mainly focus on the small ones. You have to realize that the large scholarships attract more people, just how you are attracted to them. The more people that apply for large scholarships, fewer the chances of you winning. And large scholarships require you to put in time and effort to get the scholarships. So pick a couple of large scholarships that you feel like have a chance of winning. Other than that, you should mainly focus on small scholarships!
