How can I better interpete scholarship requirements?

I'm 17 years old and I've graduated form Debiruss College in Nigeria. I'm looking to study mechatronics engineering in the US or Canada with a full ride scholarship

Anyway, the first step is to get your student application items together. These items should include things like your secondary school transcript, your g.p.a, national exam result (WASSCE, SSCE e.t.c), your standardized test scores (if you are writing), extracurriculars(clubs, community service, leadership e.t.c) just to mention a few. These will help you know the colleges you can apply to. Then you can begin to build your college list. Begin to research schools that would accept international students and offer need-based financial aid for your course. When you have your college list filled to your satisfaction, you can begin to apply. Some colleges allow application through the Common App. Since you will be applying for financial aid, you'll most likely need to complete your CSS profile which is a way to supply financial information to let colleges know your financial capability. If you think you are highly qualified, you can also apply for merit scholarships for international students
