I am curious because I want to triple or quadruple major.
Inherently, yes since you have to take more required classes, which each college class can cost thousands now days. however doing all these majors at once will be cheaper than majoring separately - if you went back to school lets say with a company paying for your education. But definitely more expensive than a traditional one major degree and more time consuming. You can cut the cost of your education by taking dual credits and AP exams in high school which are only a few hundred bucks and if you pass the class or get a 3,4, or 5 on the exam you can get credit for them in most colleges and universities.
Since college cost is consists mostly of tuition which is the cost of attending the class
less class = less money spent
Hi @Code!
It depends on the college. If they make you pay based on "credit hour" (or how many courses you take), then a double or triple major will cost more. However, most colleges charge tuition by semester, in which you should be able to take extra majors at no extra cost.
Just note that double or triple majoring is a lot of work — you might have to take the maximum number of courses per semester, depending on how much overlap there is between the majors. I've never heard of a student quadruple majoring, so I'd recommend choosing your initial majors sparingly.
Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
Depends on the college. My sister went to college, got two majors, a few certificates, and two minors and I believe that she did not have to pay more because of the extra courses because she was in the honors college.
