College Suggestion as an international student requiring 100% attendance cost met

I was considering applying to the University of Miami as a Pakistani Student ( 1430 SAT, 4.0 Unweighted GPA). I need the full 100% attendance cost met. Is Umiami a good ED school for me?

Hi, @ta16!

From my research, if your decision to attend a college depends on the possibility of a scholarship (especially one as high as a full-ride) then ED is not for you. I'm not too knowledgeable about the University of Miami and their aid structure but the general rule is that if you need financial aid, don't apply ED.

However, UMiami has the Stamps Merit award for extraordinary seniors which is a full ride for ED and EA. I think their SAT 75th Percentile is around 1460 so you might improve your chance with a score higher than 1500. In addition, I don't know your course load but if you take mostly APs, Honors, Advance,... weighted courses, you will have a good chance of being considered for the scholarship. Having good extracurriculars and being involved in the community is helpful too, by the way!

Ultimately, it is your decision so I hope this answer was useful in helping you weigh your chances!
