How do you prepare for the 2024-25 FAFSA if we cannot access the form yet?

I am a high school senior who is trying to fund her high school education. I will be majoring in Chemical Engineering. My goal is to earn my Ph.D.

Hi! If you filled out the 2023-24 FAFSA already, it's easy to renew it. Otherwise, the FAFSA website has a great guide to filling it out for first timers- studentaid.gov/apply-for-aid/fafsa/filling-out.

I think it'll be available in December, so you can spend this time familiarizing yourself with the process and gathering any documentation you need. Personally, my parents and I needed a LOT of help from our accountant to keep everything accurate- it was way too much information for us to access ourselves:) It's important to keep things like that in mind so you're not in too much of a crunch. You might want to review the FAFSA with your parents/ guardians (if you're filing as a dependent) so they can figure out what they need to contribute from their end.
