Paying for College

do you know about any music scholarships

I'm currently in 9th grade in North Carolina, there are a ton of great, cheap schools around here, but a scholarship would still be nice! please comment if you know anything about music scholarships, my father got about $2000 on one, it seems you just have to take music theory and private lessons! thank you!

Look for scholarship directories online. They can often help you sort out where you're at and find scholarships that will fit you. Collegeboard.org has some, and they are also the organization that does AP testing, the SAT, and the ACT. They're an incredibly useful resource. Additionally, I'm using bold.org; I haven't used it too much but it seems to be a decent directory.

Just keep an eye out; occasionally Google for music scholarships or new scholarship directories, and if you use college board or other things like that, make sure to keep your account updated as you progress through high school. Good luck!
