Paying for College

Do bold.org profiles matter?

I've been starting to apply for scholarships, especially ones that require an essay. Many of the scholarships I find are on bold.org, but when I look at past winners, they all have professional profiles and it seems that the user took a long time to carefully curate it.

When applying for essay-based scholarships on bold.org, do they take your profile into account? Does it decrease my chances of winning if I haven't added anything to my profile?

They usually tell you when they're looking for the "boldest" student as well. That's when the profile and points come into play. But yeah, scholarship panels look at your profile alongside your essay.
