Hi, here are a wholeeeeee bunch of safe urban schools all over the USA.

The safety rating is according to Niche.com, and they base it on surveys that the students in each school take.

University of Southern Mississippi: 98% acceptance rate: B+ in Safety

Alabama State University: 98% acceptance rate: B- in Safety

New Jersey City University: 96% acceptance rate: B+ in Safety

Wichita State University: 96% acceptance rate: B in Safety

University of Toledo: 94% acceptance rate: C+ in Safety

Kansas State University: 93% acceptance rate: B+ in Safety

University of Alabama at Birmingham: 92% acceptance rate: B- in Safety

University of Central Arkansas: 91% acceptance rate: B in Safety

Iowa State University: 91% acceptance rate: B- in Safety

Indiana State University: 90% acceptance rate: C+ in Safety

Portland State University: 90% acceptance rate: B- in Safety

Southeastern Louisiana University: 90% acceptance rate: B- in Safety

Cleveland State University: 88% acceptance rate: B- in Safety

University of Nevada, Reno: 88% acceptance rate: B- in Safety

Western Washington University: 88% acceptance rate: B- in Safety

East Tennessee State University: 87% acceptance rate: B in Safety

Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi: 87% acceptance rate: B in Safety

Arizona State University: 85% acceptance rate: B- in Safety (I live in AZ & I can tell you that this area is pretty safe)

University of Arizona: 84% acceptance rate: B- in Safety (I live in AZ & this area is one of the safest)

Colorado State University: 84% acceptance rate: B in Safety

University of North Carolina at Greensboro: 84% acceptance rate: C+ in Safety

University of Memphis: 84% acceptance rate: B in Safety

University of Oregon: 83% acceptance rate: C+ in Safety

University of Iowa: 83% acceptance rate: C+ in Safety

East Carolina University: 82% acceptance rate: C+ in Safety

Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis: 81% acceptance rate: C+ in Safety

Oregon State University: 81% acceptance rate: B in Safety

Boise State University: 81% acceptance rate: A- in Safety

Most safe schools are in the west since the ones in the east are older and more prestigious.

This question could be interpreted two ways. @just.valdo gave you a good list of "safety schools", ones which nearly guarantee acceptance.

But maybe you're concerned about high levels of crime, and particularly gun violence, in American cities? While campuses themselves are usually safe, some universities are located in or adjacent to fairly dangerous neighborhoods.
