So on the common app, do summer programs go under activities? I know that there are only ten boxes/slots for activities so I was wondering how that works.
Yes, it is totally acceptable to put summer programs in your activities list. If you have limited slots and are having a tough time deciding between including summer programs or long-term activities, I would recommend giving priority to the latter. An exception to this would be if you participated in any prestigious national or state-level summer programs - these should be near the top of your EC list. This CollegeVine blog post has some more advice about filling out the Common App activities list. Hope this helps!
