I'm currently a junior who will be a senior this fall and I want to become a Mechanical engineer. I live in North Carolina and was hoping there's a college for me on the East. Also are there any internships or extra-curricular activities I can do to make me more appealing to colleges.
Hi! Some east-coast schools with solid engineering programs that I personally know are Virginia Tech, Northeastern, UMass, and Penn State. I highly recommend Embry-Riddle to all of my engineering friends, but it's not quite east-coast (Florida).
In terms of application boosters, I'd say shoot for internships with places like Afco Steel or Sierra Space (both of whom are looking for aides and interns). The experience looks better and some places may even discount tuition for the vocational experience! For ECs, look to see if your school has a robotics or engineer club or competition soon. If not, make one!

Thank you so much! I really appreciate your answer and I will definitely look into those internships.
