School Suggestions for a writing/law career on a budget

Hello! I'm a freshman in Florida looking into colleges. I want to major in Journalism, with a focus on investigative journalism, and public policy analysis. I eventually want to go to law school to become an immigration lawyer. I want to go to a college that will really help me succeed in life, and prepare me for my career. I'm not too focused on prestige, so I have no qualms about going to a small, lesser known school as long as it provides my preferred major or a similar one. I'd prefer a college with a diverse student body, or an HBCU.

The biggest challenge is that I have a pretty small college budget. I live in a single parent household, and I don't think my parent is going to be able to afford any contribution towards my college tuition. I'm looking for colleges that offer really great financial aid, or a college that doesn't break the bank. Any suggestions?

I put in a link to a site showing cheaper colleges with journalism majors in Florida. You can set some constraints if the ones I set aren't good.

Also I want you to remember there are plenty of scholarships out there that aren't college based. A site I use called Bold.org has a lot of good scholarships, I would highly recommend it. Niche and CollegeXpress do too.
