Bug on collegevine?
Answered

I know there was a chancing update a few days ago, but my chances are fluctuating like crazy. My chances at Barnard went from 40 to 25 to 19 in the last day. On the other hand, Wellesley is now a safety with a 95 percent chance, whereas two hours ago it was a 60, which I even thought was generous. The same thing happened with Smith College, which is also definitely not a safety. I have a 34 ACT and a 4.16 GPA, so I know some schools are going to be easier for me to get into. However, I think that one of the top schools in the country such as Wellesley is not a safety for anyone, regardless of scores. If anyone can shed some light on why this is is happening and when the chancing will be accurate again, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

I don't have an idea on when the chancing will be accurate again, I just know that they are doing huge updates to their college chancing calculators, and there could be bugs and stuff like that will they work to fix it, give it two weeks and see what happens. If you still think your chances are off, you could try contacting the college vine website.

Hope this helps!

Hi @sophiebeatriz!

This sounds like it might have been a glitch with the initial rollout that's since been fixed. Are you still seeing it now?
