With senior year just around the corner, I've had to think more about what it is I would like to do with the rest of my life. I've thought a bit and I love my role in my school, community, and job. I am a leader typre figure who manages, organzies, and puts many events together. I love working on big tasks by splitting them up into smaller ones, making sure that I pay close attention to small details to make everyone happy. Becuase of this I have thought that maybe I would like something like hotel/restaurant management or an event planner type job. I have also looked more into my job and realized that I really do like it and think I could do it everyday for the rest of my life and be content. My biggest thing is that it would be more business centered and I don't know if I could do it by myself. If anyone has anything to say or any advice I would gladly accept and appreciate it. Thank you!
Honestly, it sounds like you found your calling! Business centered event-planning sounds like an excellent fit for you, but have you considered looking into maybe entertainment-level stage director or management, or government-level event planning like state fairs or cultural carnivals? That's just my two cents, but yeah, Go Get 'Em Tiger!
Thank you! This was seriously helpful.
I think you should really find out what you are passionate about rather than what your skill will allow you to be successful in. What hotel/restaurant management stands out to you?
I love organizing things and helping others to have a good time. That’s why I feel like I would be good in maybe a chain hotel where I could help organize events. So maybe something like that?
Don't worry about not being able to do it by yourself, because you won't have to. A big part of the business world is networking and connections; you will be able to reach out for help if you need it. Also, higher education can train you further and help you be more confident in your abilities. This seems like a good fit for you, so if you want it, go get it!
