Poli sci for B level students

I am really interested in going into the field of political science. But I'm worried I won't be able to get into a good enough school to make it worth it. I want to go to a school with enough prestige where I can get an internship, with around a 50% acceptance rate or higher.

GW is 43% and in the political heart of the country. American is 40% so not too far off. I am not sure if University of Maryland has an extensive PolySci program but they are a safety school for many. Have you looked into these?
