Changing Majors

Hi,

Does anyone know any schools where it's HARD to change majors? Like major change requests are not often accepted, there's a lengthy process, etc. I'm undecided right now, so if there are any colleges like that, I'll need to take them off my list.

If you go to a liberal arts college, you don't have to declare a major until the end of your sophomore year. They also encourage you to try different things to see what you like. Liberal arts colleges also tend to be smaller so you naturally get more support.

Anywhere you go, the change of major process is not going to be easy. There will be minimum GPA and course requirements that you'll have to meet and these criteria will be listed on the university website. However, comparing within a university, it will be easier to change to certain majors(something like communication) than others(computer science).

Hope this helps.

You can change your additional major because you got admission based on your major and your dedication to that major. If you are talking about the majors, then you can't easily change your Main Major in top schools (Ivy and top) midway. I suggest that you don't need to change majors, but if you are undecided, don't apply to these schools.
