Extracurriculars - is there such thing as "too much?"

Do colleges ever see that maybe you're doing a little too much outside of school? For my senior year, I am in the highest string chamber orchestra, the highest string orchestra, an Editor-in-Chief on the school newspaper, on the leadership team for Student Leadership Council, the GSA club leader, and I'm likely forgetting at least one or two things. On top of all of that I am dual enrolled at a community college and I work 10-15 hours a week. Is this too much that colleges might not like that?

I've never heard of colleges rejecting students for "doing too much". As long as it isn't negatively taking a toll on your health and grades, then it should be fine, and it'll show them that you're challenging yourself and can offer a lot to the colleges if they accept you.

I don't think so, I think the only thing is to make sure you really enjoy these extracurriculars (colleges like people who are passionate about what they do and students who are well-rounded) As long as it isn't taking a toll on your grades and health. Hope this helps!

Colleges wouldn't have any objection to it unless it affects your grades.
