University of Rochester

Hi guys, I'm an international student and I am applying to the US for fall 2024. I've been looking at the University of Rochester and I really like what I've seen so far hence why I'm considering applying ED now. Is there anything I should know about the area, school, literally anything! Since I won't be able to visit the college in person?

Thank you.

Don't ED anywhere unless: 1. You run the net price calculator for that school and can reasonably afford to pay the price it gives you, 2. You are deadset on attending, it's your dream school, etc. 3. It is a school of high-enough prestige/aligns with what you're looking for very closely. University of Rochester isn't that prestigious of a school, there's very little purpose in EDing there. You don't have to ED at all, I didn't and it was for the better, but if you do, save it for an Ivy or school of similar caliber where EDing gives a significant advantage and you not have financial problems/regret going. It's a bigger commitment than most students realize so you really need to make sure this is what you want before signing that waiver.
