Hey! I am a senior and trying to find some good target schools. I have a 3.83 GPA (unweighted) and I am a member of my schools varsity volleyball, varsity lacrosse, costume shop, and yearbook (editor). I only have super hard reaches (like Bowdoin or Cornell) and easier safeties/ low targets (uconn and umm), any recommendations to fill in the gaps?
i think it depends entirely on the kind of school you are looking for, i.e. what’s your major, what kind of surroundings do you prefer, state, etc. but i can give you some ideas! chapman university has a ~60% acceptance rate in orange, california. it is in a very pretty town and is right by disneyland. san diego state (as the name suggests) is by san diego in la jolla, california. i have heard a lot of good things about it and i know it has a greek life! additionally one of my favorites is university of washington in seattle. it has a beautiful traditional looking campus located in the university district of seattle. it has a lot of fun stuff in its surroundings and is a great city vibe that doesn’t feel super congested!
Thank you so much! WashU will defiantly be on my list
☺️ no problem
What is your desired major? Do you like certain environments (urban, suburban, rural) more than others? How big of a school would you feel comfortable in? Are there any activities you want to continue to do in college, and how do you want to do them? (club sports vs division teams might be something you want to think about if you want to play sports in college)
