I know this might not fit this category but I had no idea where to put it. I am currently a sophomore and I’m taking on pre-AP class, an AP class, and a junior math class. I am also taking Spanish and I don’t like the class. My junior-level class is stressful and I don’t know how to raise my grade it’s currently a C. I have a test in that class and I don’t know if I will do well. Because of that, I can’t sleep and constantly have stress attacks. I also get nervous or anxious about school beforehand which gives me sudden stomach aches and I won't eat much. I honestly don't know what to do at this point I have literally tried mindfulness and stuff but I still get this feeling. I just am struggling with how to cope with everything. I just need help.
I am so sorry to hear that you are struggling with stress right now. It can be challenging to move past a bad grade, but the best thing you can do is envision yourself starting fresh. Think about what you want to achieve, and speak with your teachers and peers on how you can reach your goals. There is no shame in asking for help! You are still very early on in your high school career and you do not want this to let you experience burnout so early on. I would also recommend working on your time management and studying in small chunks daily, so that way you can have more time to wind down and make sure you get a good night’s sleep (which is extremely important). If you still feel you cannot manage it after exploring these areas, it may be a good idea to speak to your parents and look into getting a therapist as an outlet to manage anxiety. Sending love your way -a current senior who was in your stressed-out shoes
But how do I start? I have been trying but I always get distracted.
