So I have got most of my decisions alreay I am still wiating on some. As of now I am between CU Boulder, Michigan State, Ariozna State, Penn State. I am having a hard time actually deciding factors to finalize which school I am going to and how I will actually decide, any advice would really help me out?
Choosing a college can be tough! Here are some questions to ask yourself when deciding:
1) Where will you be happiest?
2) Which school will best train you for the career you are interested in? EG, I want to major in horticulture and there are many schools. However, some focus more on biology and chemistry of plants vs. hands on experience with greenhouses and such. Hands-on experience is important to me because I want to begin a business, so the school that offers the most expermental training is the best option.
3) Does location matter? Would you feel better close to home?
4) Which school offers the best financial aid help? Now, I am aware that FASFA is delayed so things are on hold. But there are still financial aspects you can consider. Is out-of-state affordable? Did certain schools offer scholarships off the bat?
5)School atmosphere/size of school. Hopefully you at least virtually visited the campuses. Which school made you feel more comfortable? What appealed to you most? If you prefer smaller schools, which is the smallest?
There may be other things to consider, but these are the ones that came to mind. Consider them all wholistically and maybe you should make a chart and compare the pros and cons of each school. The most important thing is to choose the one where your passion will thrive and be developed further.
Hope this helps. Please lmk if you have any additional questions!
