Currently, I am a freshman at an early college high school where I can complete honors courses and college courses for college credit, up to 2 years worth. Graphic design is something I really want to accomplish in the future as my career path, but am unsure of how I can build my resume to be recognized or stand out. In the summer, I will be attending a design camp which has a graphic design course which I am hoping will better my skills. For extracurriculars I have only 2 as of now. Glee Club (theater arts; singing, acting, dancing...) and Track (sport.) I recently signed up for this website and was discouraged of my chancing results for my dream school, NC State. Any advice as to how I can work on my extracurriculars or if there's any in particular that would be extra beneficial for me. Not only this, but help as to how I can improve academically as well. My GPA is a 3.87 weighted and a 3.5 unweighted. Thank you!
Since you want to go into Graphic design, I would highly recommend joining an art club or doing art classes along with your other classes. Community Service also looks good on applications so I also recommend that. Don't be discouraged about the chancing because sometimes it isn't correct. As for improving academically, I would recommend studying and asking your teachers questions (I know asking questions seems stupid but this helped me improve my relationships with my teachers and boosted my GPA). I hope this helps and if you have any other questions ask! :)
