School List Suggestions

pretty okay student - where to apply for marketing??

hi! i would say i’m a pretty decent student, i have an unweighted gpa of 3.4 and weighted gpa of 3.6 as a rising senior. Due to some personal reasons, i definitely struggled with academics my sophomore and junior year, even having to retake a semester of math in summer school (changed the grade from a D to B). i’ve taken the sat once, and scored a 1210 on it. i currently live in california and am wondering: what are some good reach, target, and safety schools for me if i were to apply as a marketing major?? (prefer in state but am open to out of state schools that aren’t too costly as well) i’ll list some more information below to maybe help give me suggestions, to anyone who reads/replies, it would be a great help to me, thank you so much!!

ethnicity - chinese, hawaiian, italian, black

aps- 4 (world, cs principles, apush, cs java), taking 2 more this year (lang, psych)

honors - 3 (chem, physiology, symphonic band), taking 1 more this year (symphonic band)

extra curricular + awards - held officer positions in 2 different clubs, personally helped tutor kids from elementary to high school in music (100+ hours), 2nd degree black belt in taekwondo (been doing it since i was 7), piano (have been playing since i was 5 and won 2nd, 3rd, 4th place in various piano competitions and even got to perform my 2nd place winning piece at Carnegie Hall in New York), golf (been playing since i was 7 and was JV captain for my high schools boys golf team my freshman year and made the varsity team my sophomore and junior years)

thank you so much again :)

Here's a list to get started! Retaking the SAT and aiming for a 1400 would help a lot :)

Reach - USC, UCLA, UC Berkeley

Target - Virginia Tech, FIU

Safety - National University
