I have a 4.8 GPA (We don't do unweighted), 1430 SAT (Though planning on going Test Optional depending on the college), planning on going into BME and then maybe into med school to be a pediatrician. I'm involved in tennis (Captain), Make A Wish Club (Secretary), HOSA, Orchestra, Color Guard, Chinese Club (Board Member), NHS, key club, and I tutor kids in math and science.
Currently, I'm thinking Northwestern, Johns Hopkins, and UPenn as my reaches.
Case Western Reserve, University of Minnesota, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and University of Michigan Ann Arbor, Ohio State University, University of Urbana Champaign as targets.
And then University of Iowa as a safety.
I'm wondering if there are any other schools that might fit me, especially safety's since I lack those. Looking for a good BME program, but also schools that have an orchestra, minors in Chinese, and a decently high med school acceptance rate. Does anyone have any ideas?
Some good schools for you would be Indiana University Bloomington, University of Rochester, University of Michigan, University of California, University of Kansas, University of Arizona, Miami University (Ohio), University of Utah, and University of Colorado Boulder.
I would also suggest using the AI messaging system on your home page, and enter your interests and ask what good schools would be, and AI should give you schools that fit your needs.
I noticed that you have a school in Michigan, so I'm going to suggest Wayne State as a safety. They have a good med program and a high acceptance rate (if you like in MI and have a 3.0 GPA, you're in!). It doesn't have a Chinese minor, sadly (it does have Asian studies), but it does have a symphony Orchestra.
