Hi! I am currently a junior, I have no idea what to major in. I am very strong academically. I love the humanities and don't like STEM. I have been in choir for 6 years. I have also been in theater for 7 years. My dream major is to major in Vocal performance or Musical Theater. Unforently my parents want me to do something practical. Right now I am thinking of majoring in Political Science. Any suggestions?
I agree with @Jael_S238 double majoring could prove very beneficial.
I highly recommend continuing in music or vocal. It's super important to choose a career you are passionate about because you may end up doing it for the rest of or at least the majority of your life. BUT having something more "practical" can be quite helpful, especially if you enter a time period where you cannot do music. So perhaps you could minor or double major in another thing like political science, marketing, or accounting. Something that could be a backup when you need a practical option. Hope this helps and lmk if you have any questions!
Well, you can always do political science and be involved in vocal and theatre as well. such as clubs.
