Hi! So, I'm in need of some help. I've started university in latin america, as I was rejected 2 years and didn't want to waste more time. But I've been thinking of applying again. I graduated highschool in 2021 in Brazil with a 9 out of 10 gpa (which is pretty good in brazil) I have very good extracurriculars, most of them vinculated with service, leadership and human rights. I have won over 120000 dollars in scholarships for programs and I have created a ngo that donated over 600 reusable pads for people in need. I would go test optional. Really need a full ride.
I know, very bad situation, but maybe you know some good unis for me?
Is it even worth trying?
Hey there!
I say go for it! You can apply as a transfer student. It may take some work to find a USA university that will be just right for you, but I'm sure there's something out there that works. I recommend using the AI assistant here on Collegevine (called Sage) to get a list of schools to check out. Using Sage, you can put in all your preferences (location, major, financial aid, etc.). Tip from the experience: Sage will originally provide a list of 10 or so colleges that meet your criteria. Ask for more options several times to get a bigger list to research. Be sure to check out each school's website and make sure it actually has what you need. From there, choose the colleges that fit your needs and reach out to an admissions counselor with any questions you have.
Hope this helps and lmk if you have any questions!
