double major at UCLA
Answered

hello!

last time, I had asked if a major in Communications was worth it or not, and I received many responses. Reading these, I decided that my second major option was Business Economics, however, I felt as if that I did want to go into a marketing field too, therefore, I would double major in Business Econ and Communications.

I did some research, but couldn't get a straight answer. Could someone please tell me if its allowed? Thanks!

Hello, it is definitely a possibility with careful planning and guidance from a counselor! I recommend setting up a meeting with a counselor in the College of Letters and Sciences to degree plan as you enter UCLA. It's also important to understand that Business Economics and Communications are both competitive majors that require separate applications once you complete certain pre-major requirements. Acceptance into these majors is not guaranteed. I recommend looking over the requirements for each of these majors;

Business Economics: https://economics.ucla.edu/undergraduate/current-students/majors-and-minors/business-economics

Communications:
