I guess what I am technically asking is, Can someone be admitted to UCLA with a 1300 SAT score and around a 25 on the ACT? I know they aren't perfect scores and UCLA is a dream so their 12% rate is slightly scary. Thank you for your time!
I know its super super super super late and you probably know this already but just in case you don't, all UCs are now test-BLIND, so they won't even consider those scores even if you send them.
UCLA takes a holistic approach when reviewing students for admission. Holistic review considers a wide range of academic and non-academic achievements, in the context of the opportunities available to and the challenges faced by each student. Therefore, it is important to understand that SAT and ACT scores are not the defining or most important aspect of your application! Each part of your application is important, therefore make sure to also focus on your extracurriculars, GPA, and personal statements.
