About

Growing up, I had no doubt that I would go to college, but since my high school was too small to have any counselors, I was left to navigate the admissions process entirely on my own. I ended up picking a college based on its famous alumni (NOT something I would recommend!) and luckily graduated four years later from Denison University with a phenomenal liberal arts experience. After college, I joined AmeriCorps and spent two years of volunteer service with a non-profit college access organization providing the college advising I wish I had to high school students in Austin, TX. I became incredibly passionate about college advising and post-secondary planning and decided to get my masters degree in Student Affairs Administration at Ball State University. Upon completion of my masters, I returned to Austin to become the full-time college adviser at a diverse, urban high school - where I've been for the last 10 years. When I'm not making FAFSA memes or learning new college trivia, I'm bu...

My process

I've been a college adviser for over a decade, and helping students figure out their post-high school plans is my passion. College Admissions is a particularly complicated path to navigate, and I love helping students and families understand the complexities of the application process. I hope to reduce your stress level with information and make sure you have the details you need to move forward. There are no stupid questions. If this process was easy, then my job wouldn't exist - so don't be afraid to ask anything you want to know! (And if you don't even know what to ask, that's ok too - I can help with that!)

Tips for success
1. Prepare for your first session
Plan out the questions and topics you'd like to discuss. If you'd like to work together in the long term, discuss expectations for each other.
