UT Austin Decision Release Timeline?

Hey all. UT Austin is one of the schools on my list and I'm going to apply there next year. Would any seniors or anyone with the knowledge tell me when I can typically expect a decision from them?

UT Austin usually releases admission decisions in a rolling manner. This means they release decisions as they review applications, instead of releasing all decisions at once.

If you apply by the priority deadline (which is usually around November 1st), you can typically expect to hear back from UT Austin between late January and early March. However, the exact timeline can vary from year to year and also depends on when you submitted your application.

Keep in mind, if you're applying to some of the more competitive programs such as Engineering or Business, you might hear back slightly later, as these programs spend more time reviewing applications due to the high volume they receive.

It's always a good idea to keep an eye on your application portal and email for updates from the university about your admission status. Don't worry if you don't hear back right away, it doesn't necessarily matter when you get your decision within that window. Best of luck with your application!
