Santa Clara vibes - what's it like?

Santa Clara University's got my attention with their programs, but I'm still kinda clueless about what it's like to be a student there. Can anyone fill me in on its culture, social life, and how students get along on campus?

My daughter just wrapped up her first year at Santa Clara University, and she's loved it so far! She describes the campus culture as collaborative rather than cutthroat. It's a tight-knit community that's pretty involved, with plenty of events happening throughout the year. For social life, there's a good mix of student organizations to join, whether you're looking into professional development clubs or more casual interest groups.

One thing she highlighted is the emphasis on service and social justice, which really shines through in various campus activities. As for getting along, she's found it surprisingly easy to make friends and says people are genuine and grounded. The Jesuit influence can be noticed in the value placed on personal growth and education as a whole person, not just academically. Plus, the campus is gorgeous—lots of open space and it's right in the Silicon Valley, so plenty of opportunities for internships and networking. Definitely a holistic and supportive environment from what I hear!
