As I'm starting to delve into the college application process, I find myself really leaning towards a career in cloud computing. Is there a 'best' major for this? What kind of classes should I be looking at? Very thankful for any help.

Starting with Computer Science. It provides a solid foundation in programming, algorithms, and data structures which will be integral to understanding the workings of cloud systems. You'll also learn about computer architecture and network principles, key to understanding how data is stored and transferred in the cloud.

Information Systems or Information Technology can also be beneficial. Both focus on the practical applications of computing technology within organizations, encompassing subjects such as database management, network administration, and cybersecurity. The hands-on approach of these majors often involves working with cloud architecture.

Next, there's Software Engineering. As the title implies, the emphasis here is on designing and maintaining software systems, of which the cloud is a major component.
