Dual Enrollment Classes on Common App - What's the process?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to figure out the right way to report my dual enrollment classes on the Common App. I've taken a few courses at my local community college while in high school and want to make sure colleges see that. Do I list them under the 'Colleges & Universities' section or somewhere in 'Education'? If anyone's done this before, what steps did you follow to ensure your dual enrollment credits were included properly?

Hi there! It's fantastic that you're seeking to accurately report your dual enrollment courses – they're a significant part of your academic journey. On the Common App, you should list your dual enrollment classes under the 'Colleges & Universities' section because they were taken at a community college. You'll add the community college as one of the institutions you've attended and then include the courses you've taken there. Make sure to have a copy of your college transcript handy because you'll need to enter the names of the courses just as they appear on the transcript. If your high school includes these grades on your high school transcript as well, they will be reported in both the 'Education' section under your high school's coursework and in the 'Colleges & Universities' section. Don't worry about them being listed twice; colleges are familiar with this situation and will understand it's the same set of courses. Just focus on ensuring that all the credit hours and grades are correct. Best of luck with your application!
