What are the best options for taking AP courses during the summer for high school students?

Stressed junior here! I want to take an AP course or two this summer to get ahead. Any tips on which AP courses are the best to take during the summer, and where I can find reputable programs that colleges would recognize?

Hey there, no need to stress! It's great to take initiative in their education.

Some AP courses that might be more manageable during the compressed summer schedule include AP Psychology, AP Environmental Science, or AP Computer Science Principles. These courses tend to have content that some students find more intuitive or less volume-heavy compared to, say, AP Biology or AP US History.

As for where to take them, check if your high school offers summer programs. If not, local community colleges can be a great option. They often have articulation agreements with high schools to ensure the credits are transferable. Online, the College Board offers AP courses through authorized providers.

Just make sure any online AP course you take is approved by the College Board so that colleges will recognize your hard work! Look into each program's accreditation carefully to ensure it meets your needs and will be considered valid by the admissions committees at the schools you end up applying to.

Good luck!
