Are live online high school classes worth it?

With everything going on and schools offering more live online classes, do colleges care if some of my classes are taken in this format? I'm worried it might look less rigorous or somehow not as good as in-person classes. Thoughts?

Colleges understand that the shift to online learning has been a necessity for many schools and students over the past few years. When admissions officers review your transcript, they're looking at the rigor of your courses rather than the format in which they were delivered. If you're taking advanced courses online and maintaining high grades, that demonstrates your commitment to your education, regardless of the format.

Additionally, many online programs offer AP or honors classes, which are clearly rigorous. If your online classes are of this caliber, rest assured they are viewed as challenging and beneficial to your academic profile. Lastly, colleges appreciate adaptability and resilience, qualities evidenced by succeeding in different learning environments. Stay focused on your performance and engagement in your classes, and you likely won't see any disadvantage come application time.
