Schools with significant Jewish populations?

So, I’m Jewish, and being part of a thriving Jewish community is really important to me. Does anyone know of colleges that have a large Jewish population? I think it'd help a lot with the transition from high school to college if I could find a solid Jewish community on campus.

Definitely, there are many campuses across the U.S. where you can find a vibrant Jewish life. Here are a few examples:

1. University of Florida: With a Jewish population making up about 15% of the total student body, the university has a vibrant Jewish culture. There is also a Hillel center where students can engage in activities related to Jewish life and culture.

2. University of Maryland - College Park: This university has a similarly sizable Jewish population and is known for its active Hillel and Chabad communities.

3. Brandeis University: One of the youngest worldwide, yet already belonging to the elite American universities, Brandeis was founded by the American-Jewish community, so Jewish culture permeates campus life.

4. Cornell University: In terms of Ivy Leagues, Cornell has one of the highest Jewish student populations.

5. Binghamton University: With a Jewish student body making up 26% of the total, it also has a strong Jewish culture. It plays host to various clubs and organizations related to Jewish life.

6. Tulane University: Tulane, located in New Orleans, has a rich Jewish tradition and Jewish students make up about 30% of student body.

7. Yeshiva University: Yeshiva, located in New York City, is a Private Jewish research university attended primarily by Jewish students.

Remember, attending campuses with these high Jewish populations will provide numerous cultural and religious opportunities, but there are also many schools with smaller Jewish communities that are strong, vibrant, and welcoming. It's also worth reaching out to the university chaplain's office or student affairs department at any college for more information about specifically Jewish student groups, activities, or resources.
