Any decent Military colleges in Oklahoma?

So I'm a junior looking into colleges, and I've been contemplating joining the military as well. Are there any good military colleges in Oklahoma that I should consider? And what kind of programs or majors do they offer that would set me up for success in a military career?

Yes, there are a few colleges in Oklahoma that have strong military programs.

The most notable is the University of Oklahoma (OU) which has a highly respected Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) program. The ROTC at OU offers programs for the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Each branch of the military ROTC at OU provides specialized training that gets you prepared for a military career. Depending on your interests, you can focus on various fields such as computer science, engineering, political science, or international studies, among others, which are beneficial for military service.

Another option you may want to consider is Oklahoma State University (OSU). OSU also has a notable ROTC program with Army and Air Force branches. OSU provides a well-rounded education, and their ROTC students often major in fields like engineering, business, or criminal justice.

Regardless of which school you choose, the military courses you take as part of the ROTC program will complement your chosen major and provide you with the leadership skills and physical training necessary for a successful military career. It's also important to note that participation in an ROTC program can result in a full or partial scholarship, making it a financially attractive option as well.

Keep in mind that choosing a specific major isn't necessarily the most important part of preparing for a military career. Instead, the skills you gain - leadership, strategic thinking, and discipline - tend to be the most valuable in a military context.
