What GPA do I need to maintain in high school to meet Morehouse College's requirements?

I've been checking out colleges and Morehouse caught my eye. Can anyone tell me what the GPA requirement is for high school students applying to Morehouse College? And is it a hard cut-off, or do they take other parts of your application into account? Trying to set some realistic goals for this year and next. Cheers!

Glad to hear you're planning ahead and considering Morehouse College! They don't have a strict GPA cut-off, but most successful applicants to competitive colleges like Morehouse have a GPA of 3.0 or above, with many having a 3.5 or higher.

However, a lower GPA doesn’t automatically disqualify you—there is no hard GPA cutoff at Morehouse. Morehouse admissions officers will also look at the rigor of your courses and improvement over time, as a slightly lower GPA earned in more challenging classes can still impress.

Additionally, keep in mind that Morehouse has a holistic admissions process, which means they consider all parts of your application, including extracurriculars, letters of recommendation, and personal essays, alongside your academics. Setting a goal for a strong GPA is great, but also focus on engaging deeply in activities you're passionate about, as this can enhance your application as well!

Keep up the hard work, and remember, while GPA is important factor in college admissions, there's more to your application than just numbers.
