Can anyone share their experience with HBCU CDAC?

So I stumbled upon something called the HBCU CDAC and it seems like something I might be interested in. Does anyone here have experience participating in it or know what kind of activities and opportunities it offers students?

Hey there! My son actually participated in the HBCU CDAC last year, and it was a game-changer for him. The Historically Black Colleges and Universities Competitive Debate Association (CDAC) offered him a platform to hone his public speaking and argumentation skills. He was engaged in regular debate training sessions and participated in several competitions, which were both challenging and exciting.

The experience was not just about debating; it was also an incredible way for him to meet students from different backgrounds and develop a supportive network. The HBCU CDAC, from what he shared with me, focuses on empowering students through intellectual rigor and advocacy. It's amazing because students get to delve into important cultural, political, and social issues during their debates.

If you're interested in developing strong communication skills and enjoy the thrill of constructing and deconstructing arguments, I'd say go for it. It's also a plus on your college application as it showcases your engagement with an activity that requires critical thinking and public engagement. He certainly felt it was a rewarding experience!
