Which New York high schools have the most Ivy League acceptances?

Hey guys, I'm stuck in a bit of a predicament. I'm currently planning out my high school choices and I'm pretty set on trying to go to an Ivy League school in the future. I live in New York and I'm trying to figure out which high schools have historically had the most students get accepted into Ivy League colleges. Any insight or experiences would be really helpful, thanks!

There aren't a lot of resources available that track confirmed Ivy League acceptances by high school. However, there are a few high schools in New York that are commonly known for having a significant number of students attend Ivy League schools, although keep in mind this is often due to a variety of factors beyond just the reputation of the high school itself.

1. Stuyvesant High School: An elite public high school known for its robust STEM curricula. This school consistently produces multiple Ivy League admits each year due to the rigorous academics that prepare students well for these elite colleges.

2. Bronx High School of Science: The second half of the NYC Specialized High School duo with Stuy, Bronx Science is another top-tier public high school with robust STEM and humanities courses. This school has a history of sending a number of students to Ivy League schools.

3. Hunter College High School: A public gifted-and-talented school which is known for high academic standards. It has a track record of students gaining admission to Ivy League colleges.

4. Trinity School: This is one of the most prestigious private high schools in New York City. Although fees are high, the school offers rigorous academic prep that can help students succeed in their applications to Ivy League colleges.

5. Dalton School: This is another top notch private school known to send a good proportion of its graduates to Ivy League colleges.

6. Horace Mann School: A highly selective private school, it has a rigorous academic program that prepares students for top-tier colleges.

While these schools might send a noticeable number of grads to Ivies, remember that admissions officers look at more than just the reputation of a school. They consider your performance relative to the opportunities that were afforded to you. Other factors like your grades, test scores, extracurricular activities, essays, and letters of recommendation also matter. So, even if a school doesn't send a lot of graduates to Ivies, you can stand out with strong personal achievement.

Also, keep in mind that Ivy League colleges aren't the only options for receiving a good education. There are many colleges that could serve your academic and personal growth needs just as well, if not better. So don't put too much pressure on getting into an Ivy League - focus on finding a school that fits you best, regardless of prestige.
