Which HBCUs offer a DNP program?

Hey everyone! I'm super interested in nursing and I’ve been looking into pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. I want to stay connected to the HBCU community throughout my education. Can anyone tell me which HBCUs offer a DNP program? Preferably looking for programs known for their quality and student support. Thanks in advance!

Hello there! It's fantastic that you're considering staying connected to the HBCU community while furthering your nursing education. A few HBCUs that offer Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs include Howard University, Hampton University, and Morgan State University. These institutions have made a name for themselves with strong nursing curricula and supportive environments.

Howard University in particular has a legacy of producing quality healthcare professionals and is known for its comprehensive program and faculty support, and partnerships with hospitals in the D.C. area. Hampton offers a hybrid online and on-campus DNP program that caters to working professionals, additionally providing a touch of flexibility to the rigorous study schedule. Morgan State recently launched their program, demonstrating their commitment to expanding advanced healthcare education.

When considering any DNP program, I would advise you to look into their career placement statistics, faculty qualifications, student-to-instructor ratios, and the support services they offer for their students. These factors can give you valuable insight into the program's quality and the level of support you can expect as a student.

Wishing you the best in your nursing career!
