Looking for a diverse college

Hey y'all! As I begin my college search, I've found one of my top priorities is a truly diverse campus environment. That being said, does anyone have an idea of what college has the most diversity?

In terms of racial and ethnic diversity, you might want to consider the University of Hawaii at Manoa and Rutgers University in Newark, as they often top lists for having the most evenly distributed mix of students from different racial and ethnic groups.

For socio-economic diversity, you might want to take a look at some of the many schools across the nation that actively strive to admit and aid low-income students. Elite colleges like Amherst College or Pomona College admit a substantial percentage of Pell Grant students.

For more geographic diversity, which means a good mix of students from across different states and countries, large public universities are known for attracting students from a wide array of regions. Schools like the University of Texas at Austin or the University of Southern California boast a considerable geographic diversity.

Always keep in mind that diversity can mean different things to different people. It could involve diversity in race & ethnicity, geographies, socioeconomic departments, ideologies, international students, and more. It's great you're considering diversity as a factor in your college search process; engaging with a wide range of ideas and experiences can be a rewarding part of your college experience!
