Most basic math class in college?

Hi folks, I've never been super confident with math but I know I'll have to take it in college. What's the most basic math class usually offered so I can prepare myself?

The most basic math class typically offered in most colleges is "College Algebra" or something similar, such as "Introductory Algebra." This course generally covers concepts like solving linear and quadratic equations, inequalities, real numbers, polynomials, factoring, radical expressions, exponents, and basic trigonometry.

However, the name and content of the course can vary considerably depending on the school, so it would be wise to examine the course catalog of your particular institution to see what they offer. If you want to prepare yourself ahead of time, a good idea might be to work through a College Algebra textbook, or use online resources like Khan Academy to brush up on your basic math skills.

If you're still feeling apprehensive about taking college math classes, colleges also tend to offer tutoring services, study groups, and other resources to make sure that you get the help you need. Don't be afraid to ask for support – math can be challenging for many people, and there's no shame in seeking help when you need it!
