Recognizably Pricey Georgia Colleges?

Being a resident of Georgia, I'm considering staying in state for college but I'd like to know - what's the priciest university here? Could anyone clue me in?

Sure! When considering the cost of attending college, it’s important to think about "sticker price", the total tuition before any financial aid.

Within the state of Georgia, Emory University in Atlanta is the most expensive for tuition and fees for the 2024-2025 academic year. Their tuition and fees surpass $64,000 a year but remember that many students will not pay this full price. Many factors including family income, endowments, and financial aid packages offered by individual colleges can greatly reduce this cost.

On the public university side, Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) has one of the higher in-state tuition rates, although it's a lot less than Emory. As a public university, Georgia Tech offers a significant discount for in-state students.

Remember, the sticker price doesn’t take into account any financial aid you might receive, which can greatly reduce the cost of attendance. Always make sure to use each college's net price calculator to get a more accurate estimate of what you would actually pay.
