Hey everyone, I'm a high school junior and I'm a bit excited about Greek Life in college. I mean it seems like such a good way to make friends and grow my network. Does anybody know which college has the most active Greek life?
Hey there! A lot of colleges have a robust Greek life, and it's definitely one way to make friends and find a community on campus.
To give you a couple of examples, the University of Alabama's Greek life is typically noted as one of the most active, with over 30% of the university's undergraduate men and women being active in the Greek system. It boasts an impressive 71 fraternities and sororities, giving students plenty of options.
Similarly, Washington and Lee University in Virginia has a very active Greek life, with a significant proportion of students being members of Greek organizations.
Also worth mentioning is the University of Missouri wherein a large number of students are involved in Greek life.
Remember, though, Greek life isn't for everyone, and the amount of commitment varies between schools and even between different organizations within a school. So while these schools are known for their active Greek life, you should also make sure they're a good fit for you in other aspects too—academics, environment, size, etc. Happy searching!
