Biggest Colleges by Enrollment

Does anyone know which college has the highest student population in the U.S.? I'm considering both community colleges and 4-year universities. I'm just not sure where to start researching this. Could use some advice, thx.

The college with the highest student population in the U.S currently hails from the realm of online education - the University of Phoenix with over a hundred thousand students. However, if you're referring to traditional brick-and-mortar institutions, then Arizona State University's Tempe campus is known to be among the largest with over 50,000 students.

In terms of community colleges, the largest by enrollment is Lone Star College System in Texas which has over 70,000 students. Miami Dade College in Florida is also sizable with roughly similar student numbers.

However, size isn't necessarily indicative of educational quality or fit for a particular student. Each college is unique in terms of its culture, programs, offerings, and values. Therefore, it's beneficial to consider these factors in conjunction with size. Are you looking for a diverse and vibrant community? Are there particular programs or activities you are hoping to pursue? These are some questions you should consider when researching colleges. Good luck in your search!
