Looking for Feminist Friendly Colleges

Fellow juniors, I'm trying to narrow down my college list and I'm really interested in schools that have a strong focus on feminist principles. Are there any colleges in particular that stand out for their feminist values? Would love to know your suggestions!

These are a great set of colleges that are highly regarded for the commitment to feminist principles, based on factors such as courses offered, campus resources, clubs, and advocacy groups:

1. Smith College: Smith is a prestigious women's college with a feminist legacy that goes back to its inception. It houses the Sophia Smith Collection, one of the oldest and largest collections of primary sources in women's history.

2. Wellesley College: Another notable women's college. Hillary Clinton, a champion of women's rights, is a notable alumna.

3. University of California, Berkeley: Berkeley has a strong Gender and Women’s Studies program, which encourages students to critically analyze gender in relation to other aspects like race, sexuality, and class.

4. University of Wisconsin-Madison: UW-Madison is notable for being the first university to offer a PhD in Gender and Women's Studies.

5. Rutgers University: Rutgers's Institute for Women’s Leadership is committed to examining gender issues and promoting women’s leadership.

Keep in mind that most colleges will likely have a variety of feminist societies or clubs and offer related courses in gender or women's studies, but these particularly shine in this area. Always advisable to further research and reach out to current students or alum to get a hands-on perspective.
