Ever heard about the most ridiculous college questions?

Hey guys! Just for fun and reducing my current stress levels, has anyone ever come across one of those super ridiculous questions colleges sometimes ask in their admissions process?

Sure, there have been quite a few interesting and what might seem like 'ridiculous' questions that colleges have included in their application process. It's a fun way colleges can stimulate creativity and see a student's ability to think outside of the box. Here are a few examples:

1. University of Chicago is well-known for their quirky and creative essay prompts. Here's one from a previous year: "Find x."

2. For an optional supplemental, Tufts University once asked: "If you could create a new world, what three elements would you leave out of this world and which three would you bring in from another world and why?"

3. Stanford University asked: "What matters to you, and why?" This could seem absurd on initial glance as it could be incredibly vast or incredibly specific. It's quite the balancing act.

4. University of Virginia once had a prompt saying: "What is your favorite word and why?"

5. MIT, although not a ridiculous question, has a unique take on "Introduce yourself" and makes it fun by saying "Although you may use Google or WolframAlpha to help you out on occasion, it is most likely that you are the world's leading expert on you. All 1.0000000000000 of you."

These questions allow the student to think creatively and showcase their analytical skills in unconventional manners and might help admissions officers see a different side of your personality.
