Hello there. I’ve been reading up on a lot of history lately, particularly relating to US presidents, and I started wondering. Which college has produced the most presidential alumni? Just a curiosity thing, might be interesting to know!
Sure, it's definitely an interesting question! Looking at the educational histories of U.S. presidents, Harvard University comes out on top, with eight of the U.S. presidents having attended there, including Barack Obama and John F. Kennedy.
Yale University follows behind with five, including both George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush.
Then there's Princeton University and Columbia University, with two alumni each, namely James Madison, Woodrow Wilson (Princeton), and Barack Obama, Theodore Roosevelt (Columbia).
Please note that some presidents attended more than one institution for their undergraduate and graduate studies. For example, Barack Obama attended both Columbia University for his undergraduate degree and Harvard University for law school. Consequently, both schools count him as alumni. An interesting little tidbit for you! It's always intriguing to see the correlation (if any!) between a good education and ending up in the White House.
